Is there a difference between commencement and graduation? I kept hearing both terms thrown around. Anyway, all I know is that there was a whole lot of blue, and a lot of time sitting in hard chairs.
These are all of my engineering friends. They are all graduating. I am going to be all by myself next year. Guh.

50. Adventure
48. Teacups
I have officially broken out of my old comfort zone of food photos. Unfortunately, I am quickly getting stuck in another: flowers. But, as I've mentioned before, I just love my mom's daffodils.
47. Collection
Does anyone have a theory as to why someone seems to be collecting satellite dishes behind their house?
46. Blooming
Have I mentioned that I LOVE living at home. Looking at these out my window every day is pure bliss. I remember when we moved here the plum tree was such a tiny thing, but now every spring it's a monster explosion of little pink flowers, filling our kitchen window with color and excitement.
45. Driver
Kyle took me to the driving range because I've been wanting to go for a while. I don't know WHY I wanted to - I am TERRIBLE at golfing (seriously--SOOO bad). Guh. Anyway, it was a perfect evening to be out there (even if I was getting frustrated), and i really wished I had brought my camera because the scenery was FANTASTIC. Alas, another cell phone photo.
44. Solitude
My niece decided that she wanted to eat her ice cream in peace and quiet. So, she settled in the corner of the yard and contemplatively enjoyed a chocolate Creamie. She was nice enough to let me take a couple photos.
I love this girl.
I love this girl.
43. Approach
I wish this photo didn't have so much rear end, but it was the best action shot I took at this bowling activity.
I guess I could start dating these entries, since I procrastinate posting them. This was Wednesday, April 13, 2010.
42. Professor
This is Tom, our study abroad professor, rocking his Nikon.
I cannot wait for this summer adventure to begin!
41. Timp
Seriously, I love that mountain. I love driving on 9th East every day (which is what I was doing when I took this) and seeing her in her different moods and seasons. Last summer I lived in Houston, and that place has ZERO elevation of any kind. When my internship there ended and I drove home to Provo, I cried when I saw the mountains. So, when I say 'I love that mountain' I'm not kidding.

40. Leftovers
I seriously think we are going to be eating these mission reunion leftovers for years to come.
Anyone have subject topics beyond whatever I eat in a day?? My inability to break out of this comfort zone is pathetic.

38. War
Cousin Joseph was in town this week, and asked Kyle if he'd like to play a game of War.
I can't tell you the last time I played that game, but they both seemed to have fun. Kyle is a good sport.

36. Research
One of the most interesting subjects I have ever written a paper about. Design for Recyclability (DFR) methods in mobile phone design and life cycle analysis. Seriously, interesting stuff.
And yes, it's hot chocolate.

34. Imitation
The original idea was to create a salad similar to Cafe Rio's. Didn't even come close.
Why can't I ever take pictures of things besides food?

33. Mike
Happy Birthday. It's got a few less candles than your age, but if you look closely from the right angle they are arranged in an 'M' orientation. Oh, and it's a cheesecake, not a cake. And I forgot today was your birthday, but we happened to have this in the fridge. It isn't even homemade.
But really, Happy Birthday. Glad you are in the family.

31. Skills
If I were a professional photographer, you would want me to photograph your children, because I can turn this:
Into this:
In reality, I had very little to do with that smile.

30. Repeat
If this post gives you deja vu, don't worry, it should. I just needed to document Mother Nature's cruel April Fool's Day joke.
Seriously lady, it's April. STOP SNOWING.
29. Discarded
I made chicken enchiladas for the first time on Wednesday. This was the part of the chicken I didn't use:
I wish I could say they turned out delicious, but they didn't. I'm really not that great in the kitchen, but for some reason it's the only place I take pictures. I need to get out more.

28. Still
Life.
Usually the fruit bowls are saved for painting and stuff like that. But we all know I'm obsessed with photographing food, and I'm trying to figure out how to rock my macro setting.

27. New
My camera arrived today. This calls for a narcissistic shot of my excitement.
This week's photos better be better than last week's. Otherwise there is no hope for me.
