Does anyone have a theory as to why someone seems to be collecting satellite dishes behind their house?

There are trees like this all around my neighborhood.  Trees that look like someone planted a different species of bush right in the middle of an already established piece of vegetation.  I think they look ridiculous.  The bushes are ugly to begin with, but add that tumor on there....guh.
